Wednesday April 19, 2017 – Fraserville man charged in domestic related incident

The Peterborough Police Service has arrested and charged a 23-year-old Fraserville man following a domestic incident on Tuesday night (April 18).

Uttering Threats/Harassment Arrest:
A Fraserville man is facing charges following an incident with his ex-partner.

The accused, a 23-year-old man, and the victim, a woman in her early 20’s, were in a previous domestic relationship. The accused is currently on conditions to not contact the victim and keep the peace.

On the night of April 18, 2017 the victim received several unwanted phone calls from the accused. The accused also attended the victim’s Peterborough residence uninvited, attempted to enter her home and threatened her.

Police were called and officers attended the residence where they located the accused.

As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with criminal harassment, trespassing at night, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and failing to comply with a probation order X2.

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (April 19).

The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim in this domestic incident.

Assault Arrest:
The Peterborough Police Service has arrested and charged a 26-year-old woman with assault following an investigation.

On April 14, 2017 the accused and the victim, a woman in her 30’s, became involved in a verbal dispute outside a Peterborough residence. During the dispute it was reported that the accused struck the victim in the face. The accused and the victim know each other.

Police were called and officers attended the area and located the accused.

As a result of the investigation Leanna Jean Boeck, 26, of no fixed address, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with assault and failing to comply with a recognizance.

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on April 15, 2017.

Domestic Assault Arrest:
A Peterborough man is facing assault charges after a Friday night incident.

The accused, a 56-year-old man, and the victim, a woman in her 50’s, are in a domestic relationship.

On the night of April 14, 2017 police were contacted by a witness reporting that the accused had assaulted the victim while at a Peterborough residence.

Officers attended the residence where, as a result of the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged with domestic assault.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 18, 2017.

The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim in this domestic incident.

Stolen Tractor:
Sometime between April 15, 2017 at 7 a.m. and April 17, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. a 2015 John Deere compact tractor model 1025R was stolen from the yard of a Highway 7A home in Cavan Monaghan. The tractor had attachments including a mower deck, loader and backhoe. The vehicle is valued at approximately $26,000.
