Thursday May 18, 2017 – Peterborough man charged with robbery with violence following incident at City bus terminal

Robbery with violence Arrest:
A 49-year-old Peterborough man has been charged with robbery with violence following an incident at the Simcoe Street bus terminal.

On May 13, 2017 at approximately 8:15 p.m. police were dispatched to the Simcoe Street bus terminal for an assault and robbery. It was reported that while the 69-year-old male victim was in the washroom area he was approached by an unknown male who assaulted him and stole cash from his pocket.

The incident was reported to police and officers along with EMS attended. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released.

Through the investigation the male suspect was identified.

On May 17, 2017 at approximately 5:15 p.m. the suspect was located at a Rubidge Street address where he was placed under arrest.

Andrew Willis Bradley, 49, of Rubidge Street, is charged with robbery with violence and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (May 18).

Break and Enter Arrest:
The Peterborough Police Service has arrested and charged a 36-year-old woman following a break-in at a Water Street residence.

On April 29, 2017 at approximately 4:50 a.m. a female suspect entered a Water Street apartment through an insecure door. Once inside the suspect stole items including a Playstation and video games totalling $500.

Through the investigation the suspect was identified. On May 17, 2017 officers located the suspect walking in the area of Bethune and Murray Streets where she was placed under arrest.

As a result of the investigation Candice Mary Moss, 36, of Water Street, is charged with break and enter and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 8, 2017.

Possession of stolen property/Trespass at night Arrest:
A Peterborough man has been charged with possession of stolen property and trespassing at night.

On May 16, 2017 at approximately 10:20 p.m. police received a call from the complainant regarding a man going through vehicles in the area of Bridal Drive in Peterborough.

Several officers attended the area. An officer located a suspicious male in the driveway of a Bridal Drive residence who then got on a bicycle heading north. The male was stopped by police at Bridal Drive and Danita Boulevard.

As a result of the investigation the male was placed under arrest. During the search of the male officers located stolen property including a wallet, a key fob and loose change.

Kody Wayne Kearley, 27, of Clonsilla Avenue, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and trespassing at night.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 8, 2017.

Fail or refuse to provide breath sample Arrest:
Shortly after 10 p.m. on May 9, 2017 an officer on patrol saw a vehicle travelling the wrong way on Water Street and then turn into a business parking lot.

The officer followed the vehicle and spoke with the male driver of the vehicle. Based on the investigation the driver was asked to provide a breath sample to which the driver refused.

As a result of the investigation Daniel Andrew Corner, 36, of River Road South, is charged with fail or refuse to provide a sample.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 25, 2017.

Fail or refuse to provide breath sample Arrest:
On May 10, 2017 at approximately 3:20 a.m. officers on patrol conducted a vehicle stop in the area of George Street North after receiving information about a possible impaired driver.

As a result of the investigation officers requested that the male driver provide a breath sample to which the driver refused.

Gordon Robert King, 59, of First Road, Marmora, Ontario, is charged with fail or refuse to provide a breath sample.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 25, 2017.
