A Peterborough woman has been charged with domestic assault following an incident during the evening of July 13, 2017.
The accused, a 33-year-old woman, and the victim, a man in his 30’s, are in a domestic relationship.
During the late evening hours on July 13, 2017 the accused and victim were at a Peterborough address when it was reported that the accused struck the victim over a dozen times in the face, bit him and allegedly cut his leg with a piece of glass. A witness called 911 and police attended shortly thereafter.
As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with
• Assault Cause Bodily Harm
• Assault x 2
• Mischief Under $5000.00
• Assault with a Weapon
The accused was held in custody and will appear in court on July 14, 2017.
The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim in this domestic incident.
