Wednesday August 30, 2017 – Arrest made in Chamberlain Street robbery; investigation ongoing

Robbery Arrest:
A 19-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged following a robbery at a Chamberlain Street home.

On August 29, 2017 at approximately 1:10 a.m. police responded to a call for service regarding a robbery at a residence on Chamberlain Street. It was reported that during the incident a male had brandished a knife and a violent altercation took place. It appears this was a targeted incident.

The victim, a male in his 30’s, was taken to a local hospital for treatment to his injuries and released.

As a result of the investigation Christian Emerson Cripps, 19, of no fixed address, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Robbery with a weapon
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on August 29, 2017.

Police have cleared the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
