Shortly before 2 p.m. on September 7, 2017 a two vehicle collision took place at the intersection of Lansdowne Street and Monaghan Road.
The investigation revealed that a 61-year-old Oshawa man appears to have suffered a medical emergency while operating his vehicle and subsequently struck a Peterborough Police cruiser that was in the area at the time on an unrelated matter. The male was taken to a local hospital via EMS where he was later pronounced deceased.
The death does not appear suspicious and has been turned over to the Coroner.
