Tuesday September 12, 2017 – Register your bike with our FREE bicycle licence program

Sometime between September 9, 2017 and September 11, 2017 a purple child mountain bike, a lime green adult mountain bike and a black and pink child skateboarding helmet were stolen out of the backyard of a Montague Court home in Peterborough.

Between September 6, 2017 and September 9, 2017 a Norco black adult mountain bike was stolen from a shed at a Wellington Street residence.

The Peterborough Police Service reminds residents to always keep bikes locked and secured when not in use.

Also, we encourage residents to register their bike with our free bicycle licence program. This service is meant to safeguard your bicycle and increase the chances of having your bicycle returned to you if it is lost or stolen.

You can either register in-person at one of our police stations or online: Free Bicycle Licence

In order to register online you must first obtain a licence sticker. Licence stickers can be obtained at bicycle retailers or at the front counter of the Peterborough Police Service headquarters at any time, 365 days a year.

Anyone with information on this theft is asked to call the Peterborough Police Service at 705-876-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.stopcrimehere.ca
