Domestic Assault Arrest:
A Peterborough teen is facing charges following a weekend domestic assault incident.

On the night of September 30, 2017 the accused, a 17-year-old female, and the victim, a male in his 30’s, became involved in an argument. During the argument it was reported that the accused assaulted the victim including striking him in the face and also damaged the victim’s car. The accused and victim are currently in a domestic relationship.

A witness in the area at the time called police and officers attended. As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with domestic assault, mischief under $5,000 and fail to comply with a sentence.

The accused appeared in weekend and statutory holiday court on October 1, 2017, was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear again in court later today (Oct. 2).

Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act the name of a young person cannot be released.

Domestic Assault Arrest:
The Peterborough Police Service has arrested and charged a 41-year-old woman with domestic assault and mischief following a Friday evening incident.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on September 29, 2017 police were dispatched to a multiunit residence in Peterborough after receiving a call from a concerned citizen about a domestic dispute taking place.

When officers arrived they located the accused, a 41-year-old woman, and the victim, a man in his 30’s. It was reported that during the dispute the accused assaulted the victim and also damaged property within the home.

As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with domestic assault and mischief under $5,000.

The accused appeared in weekend and statutory holiday court on September 30, 2017, was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear again in court later today (Oct. 2).

The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the accused in this domestic incident.

Stolen Vehicle:
The Peterborough Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a stolen 2012 blue Chevrolet Silverado Ontario Licence Plate AB87534. The pick-up truck was stolen sometime between September 27, 2017 at 8 p.m. and September 28, 2017 at 6 a.m. The truck was parked on Wightman Avenue at the time of the incident.
