Thursday October 19, 2017 – Male wanted on several outstanding warrants arrested after foot chase

Warrant Arrest:
On October 18, 2017 members of the Peterborough Police High Risk/Bail Management Unit located a male wanted on several outstanding warrants walking across Morrow Park. As the officers approached the male he fled on foot, a brief foot chase ensued and the male was eventually apprehended in the backyards along Lansdowne Street West.

The accused, Robert Cox, 37, of Parkhill Rd. W. Peterborough, was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and appeared before bail court on October 18, 2017.

Theft from vehicle Arrest:
On October 19, 2017 the Peterborough Police Service was alerted to a male going through unlocked vehicles in the area of Stewart and Rink Streets. Officers began checking the area for the male, when a bike patrol officer spotted him at Park and Wolfe Streets and was able to coordinate responding units to the accused’s location. The accused was taken into custody at Rubidge Street and Dalhousie Street. During the investigation the accused was found to be in possession of 1 Hydromorph pill.

Charged with theft under $5,000, trespass at night, breach of probation X2 and possession of a schedule I substance – Hydromorph, is Daniel Laundry, 29, of Paterson Street Peterborough.

The accused will appear in bail court on October 19, 2017.
