Tuesday October 10, 2017 – Two charged with trafficking cocaine in the City following search warrant

A Scarborough man and a Peterborough man have been charged with trafficking cocaine following a search warrant at a Hunter Street East apartment complex.

On October 6, 2017 as a result of an ongoing investigation, members of the Peterborough Police ICAD (Intelligence, Crime Analysis, Asset Forfeiture and Drug Unit) with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) warrant at an apartment complex on Hunter Street East in the City of Peterborough.

As a result of the investigation the follow persons were arrested and charged with the following offences:

Tquan Robertson, 22, of Scarborough

  • Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Proceeds of Crime over $5,000

Jeremy Ward, 40, of Hunter Street, Peterborough

  • Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Breach of Probation

Both accused were held for a bail hearing on October 7, 2017.

Two other parties were arrested at the scene and were released unconditionally during the course of the investigation.

The following items were seized during the investigation:

  • 168 grams of cocaine (6 oz)
  • $5,480 Canadian Currency
