Nov. 11- 14, 2017 – Barrie resident facing drug and theft charges following investigation

Theft/Possession of Controlled Substance Arrest:
On November 10, 2017, the accused was apprehended at Sears for shoplifting. Property worth $1,280 was recovered on arrest. During the search of the accused at the Peterborough Police station, officers seized cocaine, MDMA, crystal meth and a variety of pills. The accused is also on a number of court orders that were breached.

Arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000, Possession of a controlled substance x 6, breach of probation, breach of recognizance and possession of property obtained by crime is Stacy Fenney, 33, of Barrie, Ontario. She was held in custody.

 

Arrest on Warrant:
On November 10, 2017, the accused turned himself into police on an outstanding warrant. An arrest warrant had been issued on November 9, 2017 for failing to attend court on a theft under $500 charge. Arrested and held in custody was Christopher Busse, 20 of Peterborough.

Arrest on Warrant
On November 9, 2017, a warrant for the arrest of Joshua Geraghty was issued for Assault with a weapon, assault, mischief and breach of probation x 2. On November 11, 2017, police received information that the accused was at a Peterborough residence on Brock Street. Officers attended the residence and located the accused. Geraghty, 20, of Peterborough was arrested and held in custody.

Arrest on Warrant:
On November 9, 2017, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Christian Cripps for assault with a weapon and breach of recognizance. On November 11, 2017, Cripps was located at an address on Aylmer Street by police. Cripps resisted officers during this arrest. Arrested and charged with Assault with a weapon, Resist Peace Officer and Breach of recognizance was Cripps, 19 of Peterborough.

Theft Arrest:
On November 11, 2017, Peterborough Police received a call from Canadian Tire, Chemong Road. They had a male in custody for shoplifting. The accused had stolen property from Canadian Tire and also from Home Depot on his possession. He had also attempted to steal a bicycle from the front of the store. The accused also resisted his arrest by store security. Arrested and charged with Theft under $5000 x 2, Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest, Possession of property obtained by crime x 2 and Breach of Probation was Jordan Dallard, 31, of Peterborough. He was held in custody.

Assault – Noise Complaint Arest:
On November 12, 2017, Peterborough Police responded to a noise complaint at a residence on Hilliard Street. The accused had been involved in a verbal confrontation with the complainant who had called police and assaulted her. Arrested and charged with assault was Amber Amero, 27, of Hilliard Street. She was released for court on Novemebr 28, 2017.

Theft Arrest:
On November 13, 2017, staff from No Frills on George Street had taken a shoplifter into custody. The male refused to identify himself. Peterborough Police arrested and charged Dillon Cowie with theft Under $5000. He was released for court on December 14, 2017.
