Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest:
A 58-year-old Peterborough man has been charged following an incident at a George Street North shopping centre.

On November 3, 2017 at approximately 11:30 a.m. an intoxicated male attended a shopping centre on George Street North and began causing a scene in the food court by shouting and swearing.

Mall security intervened and during the interaction a security guard was assaulted and threatened. Police were contacted and attended the scene where the accused was placed under arrest.

As a result of the investigation Robert William Stewart, 58, of no fixed address, Peterborough, is charged with assault with intent to resist arrest, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and fail to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to attend court on November 30, 2017.

Uttering Threats Arrest:
The Peterborough Police Service has arrested and charged a 44-year-old Peterborough woman after a drug store employee was threatened.

Shortly after noon hour on November 1, 2017 it was reported that when an employee at a Charlotte Street drug store approached the accused and advised that she had been trespassed from the property the accused threatened the employee.

An officer on patrol outside the store at the time was approached by store staff and investigated the incident.

As a result of the investigation Nicole Helene Lefebvre, 44, of Hopkins Avenue, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on November 16, 2017.
