Team Three

In 2009, Team Three members focused on noise complaints.  The college residences and the student rental units around Fleming College were generating much attention from some residents and city councillors. Team Three members and the Service’s Crime Analyst analyzed available data on noise complaints in the area and determined that not all complaints could actually be attributed to the students.  Team Three members endeavoured to lay noise by-law charges when applicable and collaborated with Fleming students to deliver a noise information pamphlet to students and area residents. Team members also shared the results of the call-for-service analysis, the pamphlet information and the results of the door-to-door canvas with City Councillors.  Fleming resident advisors were educated on how to handle noisy residents.  Team Three members also concentrated on complaints of noise and damage by increasing police presence in the areas of Kawartha Heights Park, St. Teresa's and Westmount schools, the Danita Boulevard area, and Bonnacord Skateboard Park.
