Breach of Recognizance of Bail Arrest
On Monday, February 20, 2012, at approximately 10:10 pm, officers checked a male in the area of Stewart Street and King Street. As a result of the investigation it was determined that the man was breaching his recognizance of bail by being outside his residence without his surety with him and by carrying a cell phone.
Paul Stanley Thomas Lane
, 39 years old, of Stewart Street, was arrested and charged with two counts of Failing to Comply with his Recognizance of Bail. He was held in custody and will appear in Court later today.
Theft Arrest
On November 14, 2011, at approximately 2:45 pm, suspects smashed one of the windows of a vehicle parked in the lot at Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School. Once inside the vehicle suspects stole an iPod and charger valued at $180.00. Damage to the window is estimated at $200.00. On Sunday, February 19, 2012, a youth attended the Water Street station to turn himself in.
As a result of the investigation a 16 year old male has been arrested and charged with Mischief Under $5000.00, Theft Under $5000.00 and Failing to Comply with his Probation Order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The youth was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Court on March 19, 2012. Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act the name of the young offender cannot be released.
