Peterborough Lakefield Community Police Service would like to announce a new Text Alert Service that will be made available to our communities in 2011.

Our Police Service has partnered with Nexicom, the Peterborough Emergency Management Division, Trent University and Fleming College to provide this service. Anyone who lives, works or visits in the City of Peterborough or Village of Lakefield will be able to register for this Service. Citizens will be able to register for Text and/or E-Mail Alerts and they will be able to select from a variety of alerts they wish to receive.

It is hoped that this partnership with members in our community will help to improve community awareness and public safety.
