Message From the Chair

The members of the Peterborough Lakefield Police Services Board are pleased to welcome you to our website. Please spend some time reading about the responsibilities and duties of the Board and how the members make policy and budget decisions to insure the continuing safety and security of our communities. The Board is the civilian oversight for the Police Service in the communities of Peterborough and Lakefield and operates under the Police Services Act of Ontario.

Chief Murray Rodd is responsible for the operations of the Police Department. He works with the Board to identify community priorities and concerns when making decisions about how police resources are deployed. The Board and the Chief continue to be mindful of the balance between the taxpayers’ resources and the need for public safety and security.

Included on this website are the names of the members of the Board and their contact information. Note as well that the Administrative Assistant to the Board, Ms. Pritchard-Pataki, is available in the office four days per week and is pleased to respond to and direct your inquiries. Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month (except August and December) and are open to the public.

This Police Service has 160 years of distinguished history. The Board and the members of the Service continue to serve the citizens of Peterborough and Lakefield with respect, dignity and pride.

Nancy Martin
Chair
