Friday May 18, 2018 – Peterborough man is facing charges including assault with a weapon following Thursday evening incident

Assault with a weapon Arrest:
A 54-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges including assault with a weapon following a Thursday evening incident.

On May 17, 2018 at approximately 7 p.m. the accused and the victim, a man in his 30’s, became involved in a dispute in a Dublin Street parking lot. The accused and victim know of each other. During the argument it was reported that the accused brandished a knife and attempted to strike the victim, threw a brick at him and threatened him. The incident was reported to police and officers attended.

As a result of the investigation Paul Charles Paradis, 54, of Dublin Street, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Assault with a weapon X2
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (May 18).
