Sexual interference Arrest:
A 25-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges including sexual interference following an investigation.
In November of 2018 the Peterborough Police Service received information regarding the accused being involved in an inappropriate relationship with a person under 16 years of age.
On December 3, 2018 police attended a Peterborough residence where, as a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with the following:
- Sexual interference
- Fail to comply with the conditions of an undertaking
- Fail to comply with a probation order
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (Dec. 4).
The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victim in this domestic-based incident.
Domestic assault Arrest:
The Peterborough Police Service has arrested and charged a 35-year-old Peterborough woman with domestic assault following an investigation.
On the afternoon of December 3, 2018 it was reported to police that the accused had assaulted the male victim while they were at their Peterborough residence. The incident was reported to police and officers attended where they located the accused still at the residence.
As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with domestic assault.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on January 3, 2019.
In order to protect the identity of the victim in this domestic incident the name of the accused will not be released.
Over 80mg Arrest:
A 61-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged with driving a motor vehicle with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system following a traffic stop.
At approximately 11:20 p.m. on November 24, 2018 an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a motor vehicle travelling in excess of the speed limit the area of George and Lansdowne Streets. While speaking with the driver of the vehicle the officer noted an odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. A subsequent breath sample revealed the driver had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system while operating a motor vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Kirk Gordon Haley, 61, of Champlain Crescent, was arrested and charged with driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in blood. The accused was served a 90 day automatic drivers licence suspension and a seven day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 13, 2018.
A 20-year-old Peterborough area man has been arrested and charged with two counts of assault following a family dispute.
On the night of December 3, 2018 officers attended a Peterborough area residence for a family dispute. It was reported that during the dispute the accused assaulted his mother and sister.
As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with assault X2.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 20, 2018.

Break-in: Crown Drive
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating following a break-in at an industrial complex in the City.
Shortly after 10 p.m. on December 3, 2018 unknown person(s) broke into a unit located in a commercial complex on Crown Drive in Peterborough. Once inside the person(s) stole a cash box containing an amount of money.
