Thursday January 17, 2019 – Police investigating following motor vehicle collision on Milroy Drive

Motor Vehicle Investigation:

The Peterborough Police Service continues to investigate a Wednesday evening motor vehicle collision.

On January 16, 2019 at approximately 5 p.m. a single motor vehicle travelling southbound on Milroy Drive struck a pole. There were two occupants inside the vehicle at the time of the collision.

The male driver was airlifted to a Toronto-based hospital with serious injuries. The male passenger remains at a local hospital with serious injuries.

The Traffic Reconstruction Unit is now investigating. Further updates will be provided when available.

Break and enter arrest:

Two Peterborough men have been arrested and charged following a break-in at an Edmison Drive home.

On January 11, 2019 at approximately 9:45 p.m. two males broke into the residence on Edmison Drive while the homeowners were away. No property was reported as stolen. Through the investigation the two male suspects were identified.

On January 14, 2019 officers located one of the accused walking in the area of Antrim and George Streets.

As a result of the investigation Michael Robert Corley, 28, of Antrim Street, was arrested and charged with break and enter.

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on January 14, 2019.

On January 15, 2019 a warrant was issued for the arrest of Jamie Allan Procter, 43, of no fixed address, for break and enter and break and enter with intent to steal a firearm.

On the afternoon of January 16, 2019 the accused turned himself in at the police station where he was arrested on the warrant.

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (Jan. 17).
