A 42-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges including impaired driving following a Sunday night incident.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on February 10, 2019 officers were dispatched to the area of Applewood Crescent after a vehicle had struck another vehicle that was parked in front of an Applewood Crescent home and had backed into a porch at another home.
A subsequent breath test revealed the driver had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system while operating a motor vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Jeremy Thomas O’Donoghue, 42, of Applewood Crescent, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused was also served an automatic 90 day drivers licence suspension and a seven day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on February 27, 2019.
