Tuesday February 12, 2019 – Peterborough man arrested and charged with causing a disturbance following Monday evening incident

Causing a disturbance arrest:

A 44-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged with causing a disturbance following a Monday evening incident.

At approximately 6 p.m. on February 11, 2019 an officer on patrol observed a male screaming, shouting and making inappropriate gestures while at the intersection of George and Simcoe Streets in downtown Peterborough. There was a lot of foot traffic in the area at the time and multiple persons brought the actions of the male to the officer’s attention. The male in this incident is currently on conditions including keeping the peace and being of good behaviour.

As a result of the investigation Feroze Khan, 44, of Murray Street, was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance and fail to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on February 27, 2019.
