Tuesday July 16, 2019 – Police investigating break-in at George Street North Church

Break and enter: George Street North

The Peterborough Police Service is investigating following a break-in at a George Street North church.

Sometime between 5 p.m. on July 12, 2019 and 11:30 a.m. on July 15, 2019 an unknown person entered a George Street North church that was unlocked at the time. Once inside the person stole an iPad mini and food items.

The suspect is described as follows:

  • Male
  • Caucasian
  • 30 to 35 years old
  • Slim to medium build
  • 5’9” to 6’
  • Brown/grey short hair
  • Thick facial hair
  • Wearing baggy shorts, t-shirt and running shoes

Mischief Arrest:

A 47-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged with mischief after damage was caused inside a police station washroom.

On July 14, 2019 police were advised that a male had caused damage to the inside of the washroom located in the foyer of the police station. The male is currently on a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

As a result of the investigation Trent Edward Pringle, 47, of Murray Street, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000 and fail to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on August 1, 2019.
