Assault Resist Arrest:

On August 28, 2019 at 3:30 pm police responded to an unwanted male at a Stewart Street address.

Upon arrival police located the male on the street. Once the male saw police he threw a metal pipe at the police cruiser. As officers approached the male he began throwing palm-sized rocks directly at the officers.

The male was arrested for assault. During the arrest the male resisted police by punching and kicking officers.

Liam Edward Whiteside, age 25 of no fixed address was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest. Whiteside was held in custody and appeared in court on August 29, 2019.

Domestic Break and Enter Arrest:

The accused and victim have been involved in a relationship for 7 years. At the time of this incident they were separated.

On Wednesday August 29, 2019 at 11:30 pm the accused attended the victim’s residence and broke in through a window. The victim was sleeping at the time and awoke from the noise. The victim located the accused unconscious in a bedroom. The accused was transported to hospital suffering from a drug overdose.

A 30-year-old Peterborough male was arrested and charged with Break and Enter. He was held in custody and will appear in court on August 29, 2019.

The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
