Robbery Arrest:

On August 7, 2019 at 9:30 pm the male victim was walking in the area of George and Brock Street when he was approached by two male suspects.

Both males started yelling and shouting at the victim demanding he turn over his wallet. At one point the victim was punched, knocking him to the ground. The suspects were able take the victim’s wallet and ran north on Water Street.

Officers in the area observed several males running and began to pursue them on foot. Officers caught up with a group of males in the area of George and Murray Street.

Through investigation, police were able to determine what had occurred. The victim’s wallet was located in the area and returned to him.

As a result of the investigation Noah Eggleston age 22, of No Fixed Address has been arrested and charged with Robbery. Eggleston was held in custody and appeared in court on August 8, 2019.

The victim was treated at Hospital and released with minor injuries.

Uttering Threats Against Police:

A 32-year-old male is facing two charges of Uttering Threats to Police Officers along with Causing a Disturbance and Breach of Probation after an incident at a Park Street South residence on August 7, 2019.

At 5:30 pm police were called to a Park Street South  residence regarding a criminal investigation. The suspect was located at the scene. While police were investigating the call for service the suspect began to yell causing a disturbance. He was placed under arrest.

While in police custody the suspect threatened to kill two officers several times.

Cory Desrocher of No Fixed Address has been charged with several offences. He was held in custody and appeared in court on August 8, 2019.

Assault Arrest:

On August 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. the female suspect was at a local downtown business attempting to sell merchandise. The suspect engaged in a verbal argument with an employee regarding the merchandise.

The argument continued outside of the business. The suspect then ran towards the victim and grabbed the victim by the throat, attempting to push the victim to the ground. The suspect let the victim go and began to walk northbound on George Street.

At 11:03 a.m. the suspect was located by police walking on George Street. Karyna Carruthers age 24, of Stewart Street has been charged with assault and breach of probation. Carruthers was released on conditions and will appear in court on September 3, 2019.
