Aggravated Assault Arrest:

On August 14, 2019 at 6:30 pm police responded to a disturbance at a George Street North residence.

Upon arrival police discovered a 39 year old male sitting on the front lawn. The male was suffering from an injury caused from an edged weapon.

Earlier in the evening the accused and victim became involved in a verbal argument that turned physical. During the physical altercation the victim was stabbed by an edged weapon.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and later transported by land ambulance to a Toronto Based Hospital. The victim is in stable condition.

Terry LeClerc, age 58 of Peterborough was arrested at the scene and charged with Aggravated Assault. LeClerc was held in custody and will appear in court on August 15, 2019.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Unit continue to investigate this incident.
