Assault With A Weapon:

On August 1st, 2019 at approximately 11 pm the Peterborough Police responded to a stabbing in the area of Water Street and Brock Street.  Upon arrival officers located two victims suffering from non –life threatening injuries.  The two victims were transported to a local hospital where they were treated and released.

Cause Disturbance/Breach of Undertaking Arrest:

On August 2nd, ,2019 at 7:30 pm police responded to a disturbance in the bathroom of a George Street business.

A 24 year old male could be heard by employees yelling and kicking the bathroom door. Several customers were inside of the business and also heard the disturbance.

Officers attended and located the male still inside the business. The male was arrested for causing a disturbance. Further investigation determined the male was under the influence of an unknown drug which was a breach of his undertaking.

Brandon McConnell 24, of Water Street was charged with causing a disturbance and breach of undertaking.

McConnell was remanded into custody and appeared in court on August 6th.

Disturbance Arrest:

On August 3rd, 2019 at approximately 2 am Peterborough Police responded to a disturbance at George Street and Hunter Street involving three people. Upon arrival officers located a single victim suffering from a stab wound.

Through investigation the Peterborough Police arrested and charged the following people:

Trevor Kotzma 23 years of age from Peterborough is charged with Assault, Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Crack Cocaine, located on his person upon arrest, Failing to comply with a Recognizance of Bail and Failing to comply with Probation.  Kotzma was released from custody and will appear in court on August 21, 2019.

Micah Drynan  27 years of age of no fixed address was arrested and charged with Attempt to Commit Murder, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Fail to Comply with Probation.  Drynan was held in custody for a bail hearing on the August 4, 2019.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and later transported to a Toronto based hospital and is listed in stable but serious condition.
