Thursday November 28, 2019 – Peterborough teen arrested and charged following assault at a Peterborough residence

Assault Arrest:

A 16-year-old teen has been arrested and charged following an assault at a Peterborough residence.

On November 25, 2019 at approximately 2:50 p.m. officers were dispatched to a Peterborough residence for a disturbance. It was reported that while at the residence an altercation between several persons took place and at one point the accused, a 16-year-old male, spat in the face of the female victim. The accused and victim know each other.

As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with assault and fail to comply with a recognizance.

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on November 26, 2019.

Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act the name of a young person cannot be released.

Mischief Arrest:

A 30-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged with mischief following an incident at the local hospital.

On November 27, 2019 at approximately 5:15 a.m. police were dispatched to the local hospital in regards to a mischief.

It was reported to police that while on hospital property the accused broke a glass door.

As a result of the investigation Robert William Carrol-England, 30, of Alexander Court, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 17, 2019.

Possession of stolen property Arrest:

A 49-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges including possession of stolen property following a Wednesday morning traffic stop.

On November 27, 2019 at approximately 9 a.m. an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Sherbrooke and Rubidge Streets of a vehicle with an expired validation sticker. Through further investigation it was revealed that the licence plates on the vehicle were stolen.

As a result of the investigation David Franklin Parker, 49, of Douglas Avenue, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Drive while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle (Highway Traffic Act)
  • Owner operate motor vehicle on highway with no insurance (Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 19, 2019.

Possession of stolen property Arrest:

A 31-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged after officers were dispatched to a call regarding a person entering unlocked vehicles in a residential neighbourhood.

On November 22, 2019 at approximately 7:45 a.m. police were dispatched to the area of Hunter Street West for a male trying to open car doors and entering unlocked vehicles.

When officers attended they located the male suspect in the area of Homewood Avenue. During the investigation the male was found to be in possession of several gift cards and a credit card.

Also during the investigation the male was found to be in possession of an amount of fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation Alexander William Lavallee, 31, of King Street, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 X2
  • Possession of a schedule I substance (fentanyl)
  • Fail to comply with a probation order
  • Fail to comply with a recognizance
  • The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on November 22, 2019.
