Assault with a weapon arrest:
A 54-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats following an incident at a Stewart Street residence.
On December 3, 2019 at approximately 3:45 p.m. officers were dispatched to a multi-unit residence on Stewart Street for an assault. It was reported that while the adult male victim was outside the residence the accused, whom he knows, threatened the victim and lunged at him with a knife-like weapon.
A short time later officers located the accused at another address on Stewart Street where, as a result of the investigation, he was placed under arrest.
David Laverne Golloher, 54, of Stewart Street, is charged with the following:
- Assault with a weapon
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court today (Dec. 4).
Use of credit card arrest:
The Peterborough Police Service has arrested and charged a 55-year-old Peterborough man after a credit card stolen from a vehicle was used at local stores.
On November 14, 2019 the victim had his wallet stolen from his unlocked vehicle that was parked in a Hazlitt Street driveway. The stolen credit card was then used at local convenience stores. Through the investigation the male suspect was identified.
On the morning of December 3, 2019 officers attended a Hunter Street East address where, as a result of the investigation, the accused was placed under arrest.
Clark Earl Sayeau, 55, of Hunter Street East, is charged with use of credit card.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on January 20, 2019.
