Possession of child pornography Arrest:
A 22-year-old Peterborough man is facing child pornography charges following an investigation.
On January 21, 2020, police executed a search warrant at a downtown residence in Peterborough where electronic devices were located and seized.
As a result of the investigation, Jacob Ferguson-Kerr, 22, of Bolivar Street, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today. (Jan 21)

Domestic assault Arrest:
A 55-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges including assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose following a Monday afternoon incident.
At approximately 3:40 p.m. on January 20, 2020 the male victim was walking south on Aylmer Street North when he was approached from behind by a man he knows who began shouting at him then proceeded to assault him. An altercation took place between the two men in which the accused was reported to have brandished a large knife and threatened the victim.
The victim fled the area on foot while then accused continued to yell threats. The incident was reported to police and officers were dispatched to the area.
On January 20, 2020 at approximately 7:45 p.m. officers located the accused at an Aylmer Street North residence where, as a result of the investigation, he was placed under arrest.
Jeffrey Leon Dodds, 55, of Aylmer Street North, is charged with the following:
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Fail to comply with a probation order X2
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later today (Jan. 21).
