Wednesday May 20, 2020 – Peterborough teacher charged with possession of child pornography

Possession of child pornography Arrest:

A 50-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography following an investigation.

As a result of an ongoing investigation, on the morning of May 19, 2020 police attended a Peterborough residence where the accused was placed under arrest. The accused is a local high school teacher with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.

Jeffrey Paul Bergeron, 50, of Little Street, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of child pornography

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on May 19, 2020.
