Break and Enter Arrest:
A 34-year-old Peterborough man, has been charged with break and enter as well as several other charges after an investigation on Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on October 6, 2020 a home owner on Water Street was arriving home when he observed the accused exiting the basement of his residence. The home owner contacted police.
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior.
When police arrived, they located the accused and placed him under arrest. While searching him, they located a large quantity of drugs on his person.
As a result of the investigation, Daniel Johnston, 34, of Peterborough, has been arrested and charged with the following:
- Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada
- Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Fentanyl
- Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
The accused was held in custody and will appear in court today, October 7, 2020.
