Break and Enter Arrests
A 57-year-old Stirling man and three young offenders have been arrested for Break and Enter and other charges after a stand-off with Police in the North End on Tuesday evening.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on November 10, 2020 the accused parties attended a residence on Chemong Road and broke into the residence while the victim was inside. The victim was able to flee the residence and went to a neighbor’s house for safety and called the police.
Police attended and determined there may be weapons involved. The Emergency Response Team (ERT) was deployed and attended the scene.
While on scene a caller reported a shooting in downtown Peterborough. Police were able to determine that the information was false and that the call came from inside the residence they were containing.
A vehicle found at the scene had a small quantity of drugs located inside. The suspects eventually made their way out of the residence.
As a result of the investigation the following people were charged:
Raymond Bronson, 57, of Stirling was charged with:
- Break, Enter and Mischief
- Possession of Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl
- Possession of Schedule I Substance - Cocaine
A 14-year-old male from North York was charged with:
- Break, Enter and Mischief
- Obstruct Police
- Breach of Release Order X3
A 17-year-old male from Scarborough was charged with:
- Break, Enter and Mischief
- Public Mischief
- Obstruct Police
- Breach of Release Order X2
A 16-year-old male with no fixed address was charged with:
- Break, Enter and Mischief
- Obstruct Police
The accused parties were held in custody and appeared in court yesterday, November 11, 2020.
The names of the three young offenders will not be released in compliance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
