Assault Arrest

A 35-year-old Havelock man is facing charges after an incident Tuesday.

At approximately 12:30pm on February 22, 2022, officers were called to Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a person refused to leave the premise and punched a security guard.

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Havelock man was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault
  • Fail to comply with probation

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on March 10, 2022. 

Several hours later, officers were called back to the hospital when the accused returned and refused to leave.  They were arrested and further charged with:

  • Failure to comply with an undertaking
  • Fail to comply with probation order

 

Robbery Suspect Sought

Peterborough Police are investigating after a robbery at a convenience store Tuesday evening. 

Just before 8:00pm on February 22, 2022, officers were notified of a robbery at the business in the Parkhill Road West and Monaghan Road area.  Upon arrival, officers learned that a woman entered the store and demand money before fleeing and that this was the third time this had happened in the past week.

The woman was described to police as:

  • About 40-50 years old
  • Long Black Jacket with white interior lining
  • Grey track pants
  • Black Short boots
  • Black face mask

Mischief Arrest

A 44-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after two incidents at local businesses Tuesday evening. 

At approximately 11:15pm on February 22, 2022, an officer on patrol witnessed a man smash the window of a business on George Street North near Simcoe Street.  The officer was able to take the man into custody and learned of a second incident at a nearby business.  

As a result of the investigation, a 44-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Mischief Under $ 5,000 X2 
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court

The accused was held in custody and will appear in court today, February 23, 2022.
