Impaired /Possession Stolen Vehicle Arrest:
On April 7, 2022 at 10:27 pm, Peterborough Police were contacted by Peterborough Paramedics for an unconscious 26 year old female in the driver seat of a running motor vehicle on Stenson Blvd. The female also had drug paraphernalia in her possession.
Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered the vehicle the female was driving was reported stolen to Peterborough Police on April 1, 2022. The female was placed under arrest for possession of the stolen vehicle. Through further investigation it was determined the female was operating the stolen vehicle while impaired.
A drug recognition evaluation demand was made. The female refused to comply with this demand. She was transported to the Peterborough Police Station. Further investigation determined the female had a stolen credit card and other drugs in her possession.
The female was released on conditions to attend in court on April 28, 2022. She is facing the following charges:
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000.00 - stolen vehicle
- Possession of stolen property under $5,000.00 (Credit Card)
- Possession of a schedule I substance -Cocaine
- Operation while impaired
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
Arrest On 6 Warrants:
On April 7th 2022, police observed the accused walking westbound on the north side of Parkhill Road, near George Street. Police were aware that there were several outstanding warrants for the accused arrest. Some of the charges are related to a domestic disputes while other charges are related to mischief, theft under, fail to comply to release orders, possession of stolen property.
At 6:30 pm on April 7th the accused was placed under arrest on the 6 outstanding warrants. The accused was transported to the Peterborough Police Station and held for court on April 8, 2022.
