Winter Driving
With another bout of winter weather going through the area, Peterborough Police remind motorists to take care while on the roads.
Traffic Sergeant Ryan Wilson has several safe driving tips around the winter weather, including fully clearing your car of ice and snow.
Peterborough Police responded to a few minor collision reports Thursday evening into Friday morning.
Motor Vehicle Collision – Keene Road
Peterborough Police investigating a two vehicle collision in Peterborough Thursday afternoon.
Officers responded to the collision on Keene Road around 6:00pm. One person was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for assessment.
No charges were laid.
Motor Vehicle Collision – Wallace Point Road
Peterborough Police were called to a single vehicle collision on Wallace Point Road Thursday morning.
Investigation into the incident found the vehicle backed into a ditch from a private driveway. Peterborough Police found no grounds for criminal charges; however, a 52-year-old Apsley man was charged under the Liquor Licence Act for intoxication in a public place.
