Break and Enter Arrest

Three males are facing charges after police were called to a break and enter in progress early Friday morning.

At approximately 3:00am on January 20, 2023, officers were called to a business in the area of Lansdowne Street East and Ashburnham Drive. Upon arrival, officers searched around the business and noticed a hole cut into the fencing and footprints in the snow. Officers checking the area located three males matching the description given to police and took them into custody.  During the arrest, officers located a pair of sheers. 

As a result of the investigation:

A 16-year-old Peterborough male was arrested and charged with:

  • Break, Enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Mischief - destroys or damages property

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court February 13, 2023.

A 14-year-old Peterborough male was arrested and charged with:

  • Break, Enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Mischief - destroys or damages property

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court February 13, 2023. 

A 19-year-old Cobourg male was arrested and charged with:

  • Break, Enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Mischief - destroys or damages property
  • Possession Break In Instruments
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was on a probation order with the following conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court February 16, 2023.
