Impaired Motor Vehicle Collision Arrest

A 20-year-old Ennismore man has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle after police investigated a three vehicle collision on Thursday evening in the North End of the city.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on November 19, 2020 the accused was driving northbound on Water Street when his vehicle struck a vehicle causing that vehicle to strike another vehicle.

Two victims were transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre by Ambulance with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Colby Lavecque, 20, of Ennismore, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while Impaired - Concentration Over 80mg

Water Street between Langton Street and Mill Street was closed to traffic in both directions for approximately three hours while police investigated.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 16, 2020.

 

Breach of Release Order Arrest

A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an investigation in a George Street parking lot Thursday evening.

The accused is currently bound by a release order with a condition to remain in his residence daily between the hours of 9pm and 7am.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on November 19, 2020 the accused was causing a disturbance in a parking lot on George Street.  Police were notified and attended.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel Johnston, 35, of Peterborough was arrested and charged with breach of release order.

The accused was held in custody and will appear in court today, November 20, 2020.

 

Break and Enter

The Peterborough Police are investigating a break and enter that occurred overnight on November 18-19, 2020 in the West End of the city.

Sometime overnight on November 18 to the morning of November 19, 2020 an unknown person entered a home on Homewood Avenue and stole property including a wallet and a bicycle.

The suspect used a credit card from the wallet at a convenience store later that morning.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • White
  • Slim build
  • Green camouflage jacket
  • Grey hood
  • Black pants
  • Black shoes
  • Black facemask with a white "Zooyork" symbol on it
  • Black backpack with red trim
