Impaired Arrest
A 26-year-old Mississauga man is facing impaired charges after an incident Friday evening.
At approximately 9:30pm on June 24, 2022, a concerned citizen called police about a possible impaired driver after seeing a vehicle with no lights on weaving back and forth along the road. Officers attended the area of Dobbin Road and Whittington Drive, located the vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the driver there were obvious signs of impairment.
As a result, a 26-year-old Mississauga man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued a 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on July 21, 2022.
Impaired Arrest
A 26-year-old Peterborough man is facing an impaired charge after an incident early Sunday morning.
At approximately 1:00am on June 26, 2022, an officer on patrol noticed a vehicle travelling northbound on Water Street, the vehicle continued to accelerate and swerve back and forth in a lane. The officer conducted a traffic stop and noticed obvious signs of impairment with the driver.
As a result, a 26-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
The accused was issued a 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on July 14, 2022
Impaired Arrest
A 20-year-old Acton, Ontario woman is facing impaired charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
At approximately 3:00am on June 26, 2022, an officer on traffic duty saw a vehicle in the Townsend Street and George Street area swerving in its lane. The officer conducted a traffic stop and noticed obvious signs of impairment with the driver.
As a result, a 20-year-old Acton, Ontario woman was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Novice driver - BAC above zero (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued a 90-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20, 2022
Assault Arrest
A 41-year-old Millbrook man is facing charges after an incident at a Peterborough ballpark.
At approximately 9:30am on Saturday, June 25, 2022, officers were called to the park in the Lansdowne Street and Brealey Drive area. Upon arrival, they learned that the accused had thrown several beverages at a former female partner and got into a physical altercation with another male.
As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old Millbrook man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon - spouse
- Assault – adult
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on July 12, 2022.
Break & Enter Suspect Sought
Peterborough Police are investigating after several bikes were stolen from a garage.
At approximately 3:30am on Saturday, June 25, 2022, officers were notified of a break and enter in progress at a residence in the Marsdale Drive and Foxmeadow Road area. It was reported the suspect left the area riding a bicycle and carrying a second bike. Upon arrival, officers searched the area, but a suspect was not located. Officers did locate one of the bikes.
The suspect was described to police as:
- Male
- Average build
- Long hair
- Dark clothing
- Wearing a backpack

Break & Enter Suspect Sought
Peterborough Police are investigating after a break and enter to a Peterborough business.
At approximately 9:00am on Sunday, June 26, 2022, officers were called to a business on Lansdowne Street East and Willowcreek Boulevard area. Upon arrival, they learned the front glass door had been broken. Officers searched the store, no one was located inside however, the cash register had been taken.
