Impaired Arrest

A 28-year-old Newmarket woman is facing impaired charges after an incident early Sunday morning.

At approximately 1:30am on March 13, 2022, an officer on patrol was alerted by a vehicle horn to a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed going northbound on George Street which is one way southbound.  The officer activated lights and sirens and conducted a traffic stop at Brock Street during which the officer noticed signs of impairment.

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Newmarket woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was issued an automatic 90-day drivers license suspension and a seven day vehicle impoundment. 

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on April 6, 2022.

 

Impaired Arrest

A 30-year-old Peterborough man is facing an impaired charge after an incident early Sunday morning.

At approximately 1:30am on March 13, 2022, an officer on patrol in the King Street and Aylmer Street area noticed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and making erratic maneuvers.  The officer conducted a traffic stop and noticed signs of impairment with the driver.

As a result of an investigation, a 30-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on April 14, 2022.

 

Impaired Arrest

A 35-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after an incident Sunday evening.  

At approximately 10:00pm on March 13, 2022, officers were called to the area of Charlotte Street and George Street on reports of a possible impaired driver after a car had pulled out of a parking spot and collided with another vehicle driving on the road.  Upon arrival, officers observed signs of impairment with the person identified as the driver of the vehicle that had pulled out of the parking spot, however, they were unable to provide a breath sample.

As a result of an investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Driver fail to surrender license
  • Start from parked position - not in safety
  • Fail to notify change of address
  • Fail to notify change of address - license

The accused was also issued a 90-day drivers license suspension and a seven day vehicle impoundment. 

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on April 13, 2022.
