Assault Arrest
A 60-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after a domestic incident Friday evening.
At approximately 6:00pm on March 25, 2022, officers were called to a residence in the Carnegie Avenue and Heritage Trail area. Upon arrival, officers learned a verbal dispute had escalated to a physical dispute between a woman and a man, in which the man was threatened with a knife.
As a result of an investigation, a 60-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon – Spousal
- Utter threats
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 21, 2022.
Fraud
A 34-year-old Oshawa man is facing charges after fraud incident at a Peterborough business.
At approximately 8:15am on Friday, March 25, 2022, officers were called to a business in the Lansdowne Street and Ashburnham Drive area after a suspicious man was attempting to use several different credit cards that kept declining. Upon arrival, officers noticed a man outside and located some credit cards that were not in his name.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Oshawa man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada
- Use of Credit Card
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 13, 2022.
Mischief Arrest
A 23-year-old Peterborough man is facing several mischief charges after incidents early Saturday morning.
At approximately 1:15am on March 26, 2022, officers were called to a business and a parking garage in the George Street North and King Street area after reports of windows smashed. Upon arrival, officers conducted a canvass of the area and located a man matching the description given to police.
As a result of an investigation, a 23-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Mischief Under $ 5,000 X2
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 21, 2022.
Trespass by Night Arrest
A 33-year-old Peterborough is facing charges after an incident early Monday morning.
At approximately 2:00am on March 28, 2022, an officer on general patrol saw three people walking in the Wolfe Street and Bethune Street area. When the people saw the patrol car they took off. One of the men was located hiding in a nearby backyard. During the arrest it was also learned that the man was wanted on a warrant.
As a result of an investigation, a 33-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Trespass at Night
Because of the warrant, the accused was held in custody and will appear in court today, March 28, 2022.
Break & Enter Suspects Sought
Peterborough Police investigating after a residential break and enter Friday.
At approximately 4:00am on Saturday, March 26, 2022, officers were made aware of the break and enter at the residence in the Towerhill Road and Milroy Drive area sometime between 10:30am and 8:30pm on Friday, March 25, 2022. Upon arrival, officers learned that the house had been entered and searched through. During a canvass of the neighbourhood officers located information showing two males and a smaller grey SUV in the area at the time.

Break & Enter Suspect Sought
Peterborough Police are investigating after a residential break and enter Friday.
At approximately 8:00pm on March 25, 2022, officers were notified about a break and enter to a detached garage in the London Street and Water Street area. It’s believed the incident happened between noon and 4:00pm. A number of items were taken.

Break & Enter Suspect Sought
Peterborough Police are investigating after a recent residential break and enter.
On Friday, March 25, 2022 officers were made aware of a break and enter to a detached garage in the Kawartha Heights Boulevard and Lansdowne Street West area. It was noticed on March 22, 2022 that the garage had been entered however, it wasn’t until Friday that it was noticed items were missing.
