Assault with a Weapon Arrest
A 19-year-old Peterborough man has been charged with assault with a weapon after a police investigation Friday in the city’s downtown.
At approximately, noon on November 27, 2020, police were called to the area of George Street and Brock Street on a report of a disturbance.
Police received information that the accused attacked the victim with a knife and then fled from the scene. Police located the accused a few blocks away.
As a result of the investigation, William Harris, 19 of Peterborough, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
The victim was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre by ambulance with minor injuries.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on December 9, 2020.
