A 22-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after residential break and enter early Monday morning.
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
At approximately 4:30 am on April 12, 2021, officers were called to a home on Middlefield Drive by the homeowners. They reported being awoken to loud noises and discovered items from a purse were taken. It’s believed that the accused gained access to the home through a garage door.
As a result of an investigation, 22-year-old Alice Bergeron of Peterborough was located in the area, arrested and charged with:
- Break, Enter a dwelling with intent to commit indictable offence
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on May 4, 2021.
