Break and Enter Arrest
A 26-year-old Peterborough man is facing break and enter charges after an incident in a west-end neighbourhood.
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused is also currently bound by a weapons prohibition order with the condition to not possess a prohibited weapon.
On the afternoon of December 7, 2020, neighbours alerted police to an unknown male that had been staying in a vacant home on Weller Street.
As a result of an investigation, 26-year-old Bryce McHugh of Peterborough was arrested and charged with:
- Break and Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit offence
- Possession of break in instruments
- Fail to comply with probation
During the arrest, police located and seized a knife from the accused. McHugh was further charged with possession of prohibited weapon contrary to order.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on December 30, 2020.
