Break and Enter Arrest
A 36-year-old Peterborough County woman is facing charges after an incident Sunday morning.
Just before 8:00am on July 10, 2022, officers were called to a residence in the Stewart Street and Sherbrooke Street area about a break and enter. Upon arrival, officers learned that a female had entered the home and left with a wallet. It was further learned that a credit card had been fraudulently used. On July 11, 2022, around 10:15pm an officer on general patrol in the Park Street and Dalhousie Street area noticed a woman matching the description given to police in connection with the break and enter. The woman was taken into custody without incident.
As a result, a 36-year-old Peterborough County woman was arrested and charged with:
- Break, enter dwelling - commit indictable offence
- Use of credit card
- Possession property obtained by crime under $5000 - in Canada
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on August 2, 2022.
Break and Enter Arrest
A 25-year-old Peterborough man is facing several charges after an incident early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 12:30am on July 12, 2022, officers were called to a residence in the Charlotte Street and Park Street area about a break and enter in progress to a backyard shed. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect being contained by the homeowner and took the man into custody. During the arrest, officers located several tools on the suspect.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Break, enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
- Possession break in instruments
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was held in custody and will appear in court today, July 12, 2022.
Break and Enter Suspect Sought
Peterborough Police is investigating after a break and enter to a business in Peterborough.
At approximately 1:00pm on July 11, 2022, officers were called to a business in the Charlotte Street and Stewart Street area. Upon arrival, they learned that the break in happened sometime over the weekend between 3:30pm on Friday, July 8, 2022 and Monday, July 11, 2022 at 1:00pm. About $12,000 worth of equipment and furniture was taken from two offices.
Officers canvassed the area to negative results.

Break and Enter Suspect Sought
Peterborough Police is investigating a residential break and enter early Monday morning.
At approximately 12:00pm on July 11, 2022, officers were made aware of the incident at a residence in the McDonnel Street and Water Street area that happened sometime between 1:00am and 6:00am Monday, July 11, 2022. Two bicycles were taken from a shed. Officers canvassed the area to negative results.
