Theft Under $5000 Arrest
A 47-year-old Peterborough man is facing a theft charge following an incident at a local mall early Tuesday evening.
The accused is bound by a Probation Order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
At approximately, 5:30 p.m. on December 1, 2020, the accused was in Lansdowne Place Mall and stole merchandise from a retailer. A short time later, mall security apprehended the accused and contacted Peterborough Police to continue the arrest.
As a result of the investigation, William Masters, 47 of Peterborough is charged with theft under $5000 and fail to comply with a probation order.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on December 23, 2020.
