Assault Arrest
A 14-year-old Peterborough youth is facing charges after an incident Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 12:30pm on May 10, 2022, officers were called to the area of Parkhill Road East and Auburn Street about a report of fight between two males. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim had been struck in the face with the butt end of a knife. A male, matching the description given to police, was located several blocks away.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old male was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Assault causing bodily harm
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 13, 2022.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the name of a young person cannot be released.
