Money Scam
The Peterborough Police Service is investigating a money scam and would like the public to be aware after prop money was exchanged in an online marketplace sale.
On Thursday, April 4, 2024, it was reported that a woman who had sold her cellphone on Facebook Marketplace was given prop money which is used in movies (image below) and not real currency.

Break and Enter Arrest
A 43-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after an incident Monday.
On April 1, 2024, officers were notified about a break and enter to a residence in the Parkhill Road East and Leahys Lane area. The homeowner had returned home to find a basement window open and items including a computer and cash were missing. Security cameras showed a suspect inside the home. Through investigation the suspect was identified and taken into custody.

Good Samaritan
The Peterborough Police Service would like to thank a Good Samaritan after an incident on the weekend.
On Saturday a resident located a satchel in a parking lot in the area of Lansdowne Street and Park Street. It contained identification, credit cards and several thousand dollars in cash. The Good Samaritan turned the bag in to police.

Indecent Acts Arrests
A 40-year-old Peterborough man is facing three charges after incidents in Jackson Park Saturday and again today.
At approximately 12:30pm on April 2, 2024, officers were called to Jackson Park about a male committing an indecent act in public. The male was located and taken into custody.
