Stunt Driving

A 37-year-old Quebec driver is facing a stunt driving charge under the Highway Traffic Act.

At approximately 3:00pm on Monday, March 6, 2023, an officer on general patrol recorded a vehicle travelling 101 km/h in a 50 km/h zone in the area of Lansdowne Street and Village Crescent and conducted a traffic stop.

Assault Suspect Sought – Update

Peterborough Police Service has made an arrest in connection with an incident at a convenience store in the Monaghan Road and Chamberlain Street area last month (Monday, February 20, 2023).

On Thursday, March 2, 2023, following an investigation, officers with the Criminal Investigations Unit arrested a 17-year-old male and charged him with:

Pointing a firearm
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Drug Arrest

A 34-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Wednesday morning.

At approximately 8:15am on March 1, 2023, an officer on general patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Stewart Street and Wolfe Street. The officer followed the vehicle into a parking lot in the Monaghan Road and Sherbrooke Street area. It was determined the driver was a suspended driver and he was taken into custody.
