Collision – Woodglade Boulevard - Update

The Peterborough Police Service is saddened to report that this morning’s collision on Woodglade Boulevard has resulted in the death of a child.

At approximately 9:00am on Thursday, March 23, 2023, officers were called to a motor vehicle collision. A vehicle came off the road and struck a 3-year-old girl in the driveway of the residence.  The child was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and has since succumbed to those injuries.  No one else...

Found Money

A larger sum of money has been turned into Peterborough Police and the Service would like to locate the owner.

The money was found in the parking lot of a business in the south end of Peterborough on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 and turned into police. 

“The Service would like to be able to confirm and identify the rightful owner and return the money,” says Inspector John Lyons.

A 32-year-old Castleton man is facing charges after an incident Monday evening.

At approximately 10:00pm on March 20, 2023, officers were called to a residence in the Goodfellow Road and Sherbrooke Street area about an unwanted person. RIDE Program/Impaired Arrest

Peterborough Police conducted two RIDE check programs over the past weekend.

On Friday, March 17, 2023, officers were out in several locations, with the following results:

  • 526 Motor Vehicle Checks
  • 52 ASD Demands
  • 1 Impaired
  • 1 Warn – 3-Day License Suspension
