Child Pornography Arrest

A 60-year-old man from Maple, Ontario is facing three child exploitation charges after an investigation. 

The investigation was brought to the attention of officers with the Peterborough Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit by the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team’s (ALERT) Internet Child Exploitation Unit as it was determined there was a connection to a Peterborough residence.

Several teenagers are facing charges after three separate incidents Tuesday, March 24, 2026 including a 13-year-old Peterborough male who is facing 12 charges in connection with all three incidents.

Community Zone Traffic Detail

Members of the Peterborough Police Service Traffic Unit conducted an enforcement detail Monday, March 23, 2026, focusing on several Community Safety Zones within the City of Peterborough. 

Community Safety Zones are designated on roadways where public safety is of a special concern to the community. These areas are typically around schools. The fines for offences committed in these areas are higher than in non-designated zones.
