Park Street Incident

The Peterborough Police Service is looking for anyone with information after an incident on Park Street North Saturday night. 

At approximately, 7:30pm on December 12, 2020, police were called after an altercation.  Upon arrival to the Park Street North and Wolfe Street area, it was learned several people had suffered minor injuries.  They were located in the area of McDonnel Street and Aylmer Street and were taken to Peterborough Regional Hospital for treatment.

A 30-year-old Peterborough man is facing almost a dozen charges after a RIDE stop on Lansdowne Street East Friday night.

Break and Enter Arrests

A 32-year-old man and a 51-year-old man, both of Peterborough, have been arrested in connection with a break and enter at west-end business in October.

As a result of an investigation:

32-year-old James Raposo is charged with:

  • Break and enter to commit a criminal offence.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on January 14, 2021.

Domestic Assault Arrest

A 77-year-old man is facing a charge of assaulting his spouse after an incident earlier this week.

At approximately 11:00 am on December 10, 2020, officers were called to Peterborough Regional Health Centre about a 75-year-old woman who had been pushed by her husband on Monday and received minor injuries.

As a result of an investigation, a 77-year-old man was arrested and charged with spousal assault.

Assault with a Weapon Arrest

A 31-year-old Peterborough man is facing several assault charges after an incident outside a restaurant on Lansdowne Street West Wednesday night.

At approximately, 11:30pm, police were called to the area and found a customer and an employee of the restaurant in an altercation.  Officers were able to verbally de-escalate the situation.  During the arrest, a knife was found on the accused.
