About the Project
The renovation of two existing buildings is a City of Peterborough-led project for the Peterborough Police Service. Under the Community Safety and Police Act (2019), municipalities are responsible for providing the facilities for the police service in order to have adequate and effective policing in the community.
Peterborough Police Service Business Plans from 2010, 2013, 2017, 2020, 2024 identified the need for a modernized police facility.
The Chief and/or Staff Inspector continue to provide verbal updates on the progress of the renovation project at the monthly Police Service Board meeting.
